If you want to employ a custom movie, the easiest way is using the Xbox App. If y'all want to employ the Normal ones (which I assume not), you can change it from your Xbox.

Best way is to log into your Xbox app and upload a photo that mode, yous tin can practise it past logging in to your Microsoft live account and going to your xbox profile just that is a lot harder and manner more steps to do it that mode.

These lovely people take nailed it.  The app is the method for custom pictures.  I have to say I've always found this a fiddling odd myself.  Information technology'south a feature I would similar to see in the future.

I'm not sure why they have changed information technology friend, but here are ways to change information technology:

Changing your Xbox One gamerpic

Every profile gets a gamerpic, the motion picture shown next to your gamertag. Y'all tin can modify it whenever the mood strikes. Or, upload a custom image of your own.

To modify your gamerpic:

1. Printing theXbox button  on your controller to open the guide.
2. SelectSign in, choose your profile, then selectMy contour.
3. SelectCustomize contour >Change gamerpic.
4. Cull a gamerpic.

Make your avatar your gamerpic

To accept a picture with your avatar:

1. Press theXbox push button  on your controller to open the guide.
2. SelectSign in, choose your profile, then selectMy profile.
3. SelectCustomize contour >Edit avatar.
4. Press theMenu button  on your controller and selectAccept a photo.
5. Switch between theAnimationsandBackgroundtabs to select the pose you want.
6. Position your avatar on your chosen background.
7. Select theView push button  on your controller to have a motion-picture show of your avatar.
8. SelectSalve as gamerpic.

Note
Yous can also selectE-mail picture to email the gamerpic to your Microsoft account.

To upload a custom image, connect a USB device with a JPG or PNG image on it. You can as well grab an prototype from OneDrive (available in the Microsoft Store under Apps) if you accept it installed on your console.

Notation
Custom images are only available for adult Microsoft accounts.

I used to go online to microsoft, but now I utilize the xbox app. It is so much quicker.

I only change it using the app on my phone. You tin select to Edit your contour and so Customize information technology, and you lot tin can select your picture show and choose to upload one from your phone.
